Well, I wasn't sure where to put this, here or the get to know you board. Anyway, let's see how many people we can get to answer this. The where do you live means like country, state, province or county in another country. I think the U.K. divides there areas into counties not states. The nickname is just an interesting one to see why people picked the names they did. You can put your real first name here if you want too.
Anyway, I live in the U.S. state of Minnesota. I picked my nickname mainly because I couldn't think of a better one and I was holding my chinchilla at the time. The C at the end is the first letter of my first name.

My name is holly and my maiden name was hunt. in elementary and junior high school, I was tormented mercilessly about it. Could be that I egged that on by totally getting outraged. The picker oners got the reward they wanted so why quit?

I live in college park, md, which is near our nation's capitol. I love my neighborhood as it is blue collar, has loots of kids, and is a diverse population.
Yep! The UK, where I live, is devided in to regions and then in to counties within those regions and cities, towns and villages within those counties and regions. I live in the county of Surrey, one of the home counties or southern counties because this region's based in South East England. I'm hoping to move though, in the not so distant future, to the middle of England, the East Middlands region, well, Nottingham, to be more precise.
Don't ask me why I nicknamed myself Hedwig on here, lol. It just happened I think, as I was reading HP book 7 at the time I fancied a change and she's cute and she reminds me of me as a person, lol.

I live in appleton, Wisconsin. aobut an hour and a half north of the state capital. I chose my username as a result of a cool story I read. Naiara is a witch. or maybe she's a vampire, I can't remember. lol
This is great! I hope we can get more people to answer this. To Mistress, I know exactly where Appleton is as I've been through there a lot when visiting relatives. As to Turrican's question, Well, yes I did get teased a lot. The kids in school and I went to a public school, used to call me vigin kitty litter because of my first name being Chastity and my last is Morse like the large orange cat that did the 9-lives cat food comercials. I think I went for a year in college using my middle name of Michelle except then you get Micky out of that, which isn't to bad.
As for the one is the U.K., I've always want to visit other countries mainly because I'm really into the historic stuff and celtic stuff and castles. I love all that kind of stuff and the music as well. I can get BBC radio stations through the internet and others from Africa and Asia and stuff.

My username has a double meaning and thus the wrong spelling. I used to go on an IRC community and was not sure what to put as a nick so I had a few of them. The guy i was with and am now again with was just called Em. we used to be the public display of affection types that could make a person gag, and I always would come online saying that I had missed him because back then I was in high school and my parrents controled my net access, so I changed it to state that I was missing him one day and the name MissesEm just kind of stuck. Kind of dorky but it works for me. Next year I really will be Mrs. Em accept that's not really the last name. Thank goodness. hahaha

I'm from Waldorf, MD. My user name for this site was chosen because I'm a geek. I love and work with technology. I own a computer business after all. So, then came the name Geek Woman. Geek because of what my interests are and woman, well, because of my gender.
Sometimes, I want to change it because I think it sounds corny; however, I probably won't because too many know that nickname, and I do not want to confuse them or have to explain to a bunch of people who i am again. So, Geek Woman stays.
I am from Southern Indiana. I chose this user name after the nick name of my Seeing Eye Dog, Ori. She has greatly impacted my life and I love her dearly. The numbers do have meaning too but that would be to much detail for here.

Fun topic. I'm Audrey from Oklahoma City. I got my name from an episode of "Lost". It was in the season 4 finale - the one where the freighter blew up and Ben moved the island. I know that makes no sense if you don't watch the show, but if any of you do, then you know the one I mean. Anyway, there was some dialogue that mentioned time traveling bunnies that cracked my shit up. The line in and of itself wasn't that funny, but the delivery was hilarious. anyway, I immediately changed my name on here so I could crack up every time I logged in. I used to be OkiePunk before that because I'm from Oklahoma and like punk music.

My name is Lou, and I live n Maryland. I choose my screen name here because I play the Motif synthesizer from Yamaha. On a website dedicated to the instrument, they have a news section called "Motifated People." I kinda like the word Motifated, so choose that.
Oh, as for nicknames, My given name is Louis. I never had any spectacular nicknames, just all derivitives from Louis that I'm sure everyone's heard before.

well my name is austin and that is my nic name on here :). well, i have had 4 previous nics witch i will explain here. my first nic when i joined back in 2004 was austing. my first name was austin and my last name is grace and that's where that came from. my second name was dj austin razor. i was on a dj kick for a long time and i wanted to have a dj name so i chose razor. no idea why it just sounded cool to me at the time. third was the o. i'm originally from orlando florida and that's where that came from. i got sick of that one so i went with sir dj austin razor. once again back to the dj thing. that time i was running an online station called the blade witch was a failior :). now i'm austin. i figured ever since it's my name why not just go with it :) and people will know my name either way. i'm not a vary creative person when it comes to user names. as for where i live, i currently live in brandon florida witch is just outside of tampa with a long time friend from the florida school for the blind. he is a great friend to me and everyday i am blessed he wanted me as his roomate :).
This is so cool! It's interesting to see how many people there are from the U.S. and all over the world! I'd love to visit the U.K. somday. There's a lot of historic sites there.
Greece has a lot of interesting history too and Cyprus should be a nice little island to live. You shouldn't get snow there, at least.
Well, I don't mind the snow in Minnesota to much; it's the extreme cold! Then, the dogs don't even want to go out to pee, but ice fishing is fun.

Many original people that immigrated to Minnesota are of Viking heritage, Scandanavia, Norway, Sweden, some German and the like.

We have got some snow in Cyprus during the Winter but it is only on the mountains and only for two or three months each Winter. But the summers are long, dry and very hot.

Well, Cyprus would still be an interesting place to visit.
